Revolution on Film

Saturday 3:00 PM

Revolutions are moments in history where ordinary people shake off their chains, assert their collective humanity, and raise the possibility of a different kind of society. For these reasons, they are constantly slandered as the worst things imaginable by right-wing historians and those who want society to remain as it is.

This session will show the reality of revolutions, through a unique curated collection of actual footage from revolutions over the past century: from the Russian Revolution to the uprising in Tiananmen Square, to the Arab Spring and everything in between presented by documentary filmmaker and RMIT lecturer Liam Ward.
