Why working class politics matters in the third world

Sunday 10:00 AM

It’s often assumed that class politics doesn’t apply in the third world, that poverty, corruption or tradition make it too different. But this idea lets both foreign powers and local elites off the hook. Nationalist leaders claim to stand up to the West while exploiting their own people at home. From Modi in India to the generals in Egypt, the capitalist class in the third world profits from the same system that bombs, starves and displaces millions.

This session will explore how imperialism works not just through foreign domination, but through local capitalist elites. Because the enemy isn’t just foreign corporations or US bombs, it’s the whole system that puts profit over people. Join us to discuss why working class politics are key to fighting imperialism and winning real freedom in the third world.
