Socialism conference will be held at the University of Western Australia in Crawley. Registration opens at 9:30, for a 10am start to the first sessions. All attendees should register at the desk to receive a lanyard and ticket/name tag which will serve as your pass into the sessions. The registration desk will be located just outside the venue in the Maths building (see the map provided) and will be open all day.
UWA is a smoke-free campus. Please respect the campus by-laws and only smoke outside campus boundaries. Failure to do so may result in a fine.
The conference will be held across three rooms in the maths block, please check the program to see which room each session is in. There will also be a bookstall in Maths Lecture Room 2.
The closing panel on the Saturday night will be hosted in the UWA Tavern, while the closing panel for the Sunday night will be hosted in the Nedlands Cafe near the EDFAA Library. We will have volunteers to help direct people, so do not worry if you are new to the campus, and are unsure how to find these locations.
The closest parking to the venue is the street parking off Fairway, which is free on weekends. Student and staff parking (marked by yellow and red bays respectively), are also free for visitors to use on the weekend. Please be sure to check parking signs, as City of Perth Rangers do patrol the area and issue infringements.
For attendees travelling by public transport, the 950 bus route will take you directly to UWA, and leaves from the Elizabeth Quay busport at regular intervals.
